The Midgley Pace Egg raised a total of 
£928.48 this year, an increase on the amount in previous years. The money will 
be split between three chosen charities; The Alzheimer's Society, 
Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team and The Great Generation, all 
three of which the cast have strong feelings about 
supporting.



The day was extremely successful, and

Sorry it's taken so long to post since the swim last week at Lee Dam, Lumbutts. Well, it was very cold indeed! 5 degrees! But, due to the huge buzz and rush of adrenaline it didn't seem that cold at all! I could have stayed in there for hours... Well, a slight exaggeration perhaps! After the first decent night’s sleep in a few days we were all much more spritely and ready for day three of the trip. The accommodation we were staying in was much better than what I expected. In honour of Spain’s victory in the final of the World Cup I have decided to review a Spanish film this week. I’ve actually only seen two Spanish films (this and Fermat’s Room) and both have been absolutely brilliant. Pan's Labyrinth is a modern day classic, made in 2006 but set in 1944, during the Spanish Civil War.
