Pace Eggers Perform To Scouts . . . And Wesley!

The Pace Eggers continued their rigorous rehearsal schedule this week, performing to two outside audiences.
Their first performance was on Tuesday night to Mytholmroyd Scout Group; more specifically the Beavers and Cubs section. The Pace Eggers put up a brave showing and picked out areas in which they needed to tweak to perfect their performance. The smiles on the Beaver's and Cub's faces gave the team the impression that they enjoyed the company.

The Pace Eggers would like to thank Mytholmroyd Scout Group for giving them the opportunity to perform and they hope to perform again in the future. A substantial amount of money was also raised from the two performances, with the Eggers earning over £40!

The second performance was today, where the team performed to last years St. George, Wesley Downs. Wesley was at hand to give the Eggers a few pointers on how to improve.

Painter's Chronicle T-Shirts Debut

Today was the day the PC T-shirts made their exciting debut, clothing many Calder High students and even a member of staff! The T-shirts have turned out to be a massive hit with the subscripients with the two forementioned designs being worn.

Subscripients failed to hide their excitement as PC Editor, Billy Painter professionally distributed the T-shirts to one and all. The T-shirts even became victorious in the subscripients grand volley ball match, with referee, 'P' Williams even sporting one!

Many thanks go out to Janet and Judah for their help in manufacturing the T-shirts, their help has been gratefully received!

Exciting New Media Development

Senior Reporter - Matthew Dawson

As a regular part of the beloved Painter's Chronicle the 'Song of the Month*' has captured the hearts and minds of our loyal subscripients. On balmy summers days and cold winters nights there is nothing better to raise your spirits than the trusty 'Song of the Month*' which has explored the depths of the musical spectrum and climbed the heights of musical perfection. And so now, I am excited to announce, the Editor has asked me to throw open the doors and let the subscripients musical gems take their place as the most prestigious music title. So if you know of a piece of music worthy of this accolade, be it funny or serious, send a message to the Editor or put a link in the comments of this message. The winner will be chosen in time for the next edition by a mystery judge, so get your entries in soon.

Bishops, an essay by The Chairman

An Apology

The Chairman

I'd like to apologise for my post last week entitled "Exciting Media Development". I'd like to apologise essentially, because there is no "Exciting Media Development. If you do click on the link (and I still recommend you do so) you" won't find any Media Developments, but something completly different.

I understand a few people didn't understand the joke intended, and were perhaps confused or even offended by the link. So to you, I am sorry.

Finally I should clarify that the person in the video isn't me and is in no way related to me. Now click the link (scroll down).

The Vice-Chairman Cometh

The Vice-Chairman

Illustrious followers of the this mangnanimous blog, I have waited too long before having made my first post. It was a disservice to this great organisation, I let you down.

But on a lighter note, better late than never, I shall endeavour to post more often in the future!

I will try and write more in future!

Your most gracious dude of a Vice-Chairman

Gummi Bears

Greetings friend and fellow readers of the Painter's Chronicle. It's Robert P. Holme KBE. here, wishing to share with you some of my thoughts and poetry. I am also pleased to inform you all that I will be returning to this Easter Edition of the Painter's Chronicle for another Holme Page.

Also, I'm sad to say that I still haven't found a publisher willing to publish my play, Lost. However, the search continues.
Anyway, here's a little ballad I wrote about one of my favourite foods; Gummi Bears. Sometimes I have them for breakfast, with a slight dashing of coca-cola. Which is, in itself, oxymoronic. Why should I have a breakfast consisting of corporate food brands, when I'm a member of Greenpeace and a long-time civil rights activist?

In my upcoming Holme Page, there will be a short essay entitled Greenpeace and Me. Anyway, here is my poem - Gummi Bears.

Gummi Bears, oh Gummi Bears,
How still we see thee lie.
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep,
the Silent stars go by.
Yet Hark! The nutrition wars sound out,
across the mottled earth.
Oh Gummi Bears, Sweet Gummi Bears
I live thee in thine girth.
