Question of the Week

Should there be a law against fat men taking their tops off?
There was heated debate today in the House of Commons over the big question of the summer. As the sun comes out this summer should we also let fat men take their bellies out? Michael Draper MP insisted that "these men believe that their bodies are youthful and attractive, we need a way of telling them they're wrong". But Carol Harlem MP stood up for fat men everywhere saying "They have a right to bare chests, and besides we all find it quite amusing" but the reaction from the press was less enthusiastic with the Daily Mail claiming "this is a government plot, first bellies, next thing we'll all be forced to wear burkhas". The debate continues but here at the PC we’re giving you a voice. Should this practice be outlawed?

  1. Absolutely not. . . .our bodies are beautiful and be should be proud!

Case in point, Stavros Flatley, too topless fat men entertained the nation with their tops off, so people must enjoy it!

  4. I don't think there should be a law.. as the Daily Mail said it is infringing our rights... even if they're not very nice.

  13. Hi All,

Not a bad idea whoever suggested the sumo bout! We'll have a think, and try and devise a plan because this could be a big event!

  14. A sumo competition sounds good. I think I have the perfect build...

As for the topic at hand; yes I feel it should be illegal. Punishable by taunting. I have no objection to overweight people and stripping off at the beach or even in the park on a sunny day can be perfectly acceptable.

But not in the Co-op. That's where I draw the line.

  19. Who is anyone to say what's attractive and what's not? I'm surprised something like this was even considered. If it's not okay to discriminate against other races, why would it be okay to discriminate against people who a different size than you are? What would that make you? A size-ist? lol. But seriously. Horrible idea.
